QP 1.3, Dulcinea 0.12, SCGI 1.9

The MEMS Exchange folks released a number of package updates today. Of most interest to me these days are changes to QP, QPY, Dulcinea and Durus.

For the record, QP is a web application framework designed specifically for applications that use Durus for persistent storage and QPY for formatting pages.

Quixote 2.4 was also released today as well, but I’m migrating to QP for most of my web work these days. Why? I’m using Durus, an object database, anyway, and the Dulcinea package of pre-built components and user interfaces will eventually fully move in the direction of QP as well. QP / Durus / Dulcinea makes building python web apps simple work without requiring that you jump through un pythonic hoops. http://www.mems-exchange.org/software/

In a seperate note, Titus Brown announced that he’s produced eggs of Durus, Windows versions available for the grabbing here: http://issola.caltech.edu/~t/dist/.
