Ban Junk Food in Schools
If schools won’t curt junk food, province will
Toronto â Education Minister Gerard Kennedy said Wednesday that he will move to ban junk food from vending machines in the province’s elementary schools because not all school boards are doing it voluntarily.
An idea whose time has come. In this day and age, when so much is known about nutrition, child hood obesity, more sedentary lifestyles, reduced resources in the schools to address all these problems, surely its not cost effective to society to leave junk food in schools nor can any moral arguement be made in support of leaving such crap in our schools.
